The other day, I saw a bumper sticker that said, "Life is good."
I couldn't agree more. "My" life isn't always good because of how I perceive it, but God, who is life, never changes. My is self-centered. You've heard many negatives through the years about how life is a b****. That is simply not true. How easily we are swayed into believing Satan, just as Eve was. The only reason why your/my life isn't good would be if we aren't following God.
God promises us trials, but life, eternal life with God, is always good. It is only because of sin in this world that we face those trials. Not always our own sin, but because of sin/death that is in this world.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. Mark 10:18
"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. John 10:11
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Jesus is ALWAYS good, ALWAYS truth, ALWAYS life, ALWAYS the way. Jesus, who is God in the flesh, ALWAYS was, ALWAYS is, and ALWAYS will be.
Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6 (NIV)

You Aren't Her Real Mommy
Last night, while my middle son was playing baseball, my other 3 children were playing in the grass and on the bleachers.
There was this little girl (around 8 or 9) who came up to me and said about my daughter, "You aren't her real Mommy."
I said, "Yes, I am her Mommy."
She said, "Well, she's adopted."
I said, "Yes, she is adopted, but I am still her Mommy. I'm the only Mommy she knows."
She said, "Does she know she's adopted?"
I said, "Yes, I tell her."
She said, "Of course she knows, she looks different."
I can't tell you how much this hurt this Mommy's heart.
I am not the most drop of the hat eloquent speaker. We were near a few other adults. I wonder what they were thinking. Possibly, the same thing this little girl was speaking.
Here is what I know to be true.
I am her Mommy. She also has other Omma's (Korean mothers- birth and foster). BUT, I am her one and only Mommy. However, I do hope that we can meet her birth mother some day.
Yes, I didn't carry her in my womb.
But I am her Momma bear, so don't mess with her.
Every day we build our bond.
I sew seeds of love in her heart. I sew seeds of trust.
I tell her and show her the difference between right and wrong.
I make mistakes with her. I make mistakes with the boys, too.
Physically, I take care of her.
Mentally, I take care of her.
Emotionally, I take care of her.
Spiritually, I take care of her.
I am her Mommy.
Don't be confused. Yes, she doesn't look like me. BUT, she is mine. She is my baby. She'll tell you that, too.
If her brothers are on my lap, she'll push them off, because I am HERS. Yes, she has to share me.
I don't really care what other people think, but I do care what she thinks.
God willed her to be here with us. She BELONGS with us. Our family was/is not complete without her.
She's different. I'm different. EVERY ONE is different. Each of my children are different.
God willing -- We (her and I) will have many years and conversations about this subject.
I pray that she can see the truth and depth of us, and not the shallow lies that satan spreads.
We must sew positive seeds, to produce positive fruit.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

Praying in One Accord
What happens when Christians pray in one accord?
Acts 4:23-31
23 And being let go, they went to their own companions and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said to them. 24 So when they heard that, they raised their voice to God with one accord and said: “Lord, You are God, who made heaven and earth and the sea, and all that is in them, 25 who by the mouth of Your servant David have said:
31 And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lord, I pray that our church (the body of Christ) prays in Unity and with one accord for YOUR glory. May our lives be shaken and we boldy go to spread your Word. May we as individuals and our church as a whole be filled with your holy, holy, Holy Spirit. In Jesus Name, Amen.

And the people plot vain things?

And the rulers were gathered together
Against the Lord and against His Christ.’

27 “For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together 28 to do whatever Your hand and Your purpose determined before to be done. 29 Now, Lord, look on their threats, and grant to Your servants that with all boldness they may speak Your word, 30 by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”

The Cup of Christ
Why was I not taught this until yesterday?
Learning about Jewish traditions sure does help understanding Christianity. I encourage you to look at the following web site at what the cups at passover mean paying particularly close attention to the 3rd cup.
Chosen People Ministries
Then there is the Jewish tradition of the cup at a wedding engagement. The father of the groom, the groom, the father of the bride, and the bride get together. The fathers discuss the brides price. Then once they agree on an amount, the groom poors a cup of wine and offers it to the bride. If she accepts the covenant, she drinks from the cup.
Think about that the next time you take communion. When you drink of HIS cup, you are his wife. You are signaling that you are making a commitment to HIM.
Oh, there is more, and I can't teach it all to you, so please look it up for yourself. There is also this web site that speaks about the Jewish betrothel Rebecca at the Well Foundation.
Have a BLESSED DAY!

Corruption
If you're looking for a syrupy sweet post, you might want to look somewhere else.
Do you get tired of the finger pointing? It's his fault, it's her fault, it's their fault. They are prideful.
Then you examine your own heart and you find the finger is pointing right smack-dab in the middle of you. Then you start listing the differences between you and the "corrupt" people.
Then you see that the only difference between you and them is J-E-S-U-S.
This week I examined my heart and found that I am not loving as I should. Being hard hearted is an easy trap for me to fall into.
I urge you this Easter weekend to let your "difference" shine.
Pray for the ignorant. Pray for the lost. Take a stand and kneel for the glory of JEHOVAH, FATHER.
Today, long ago Jesus gave his life for all.
Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land. And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”
Some of those who stood there, when they heard that, said, “This Man is calling for Elijah!” Immediately one of them ran and took a sponge, filled it with sour wine and put it on a reed, and offered it to Him to drink.
The rest said, “Let Him alone; let us see if Elijah will come to save Him.”
And Jesus cried out again with a loud voice, and yielded up His spirit.
Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.
So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!”
Matthew 27:45-54 (NKJV)
How many will you give your life for? Did you know that Jesus asks you to lose your life for HIM and the brothers? (1 John 3:16)
Can you picture the veil being torn (60 feet high, 30 feet wide, 4 inches thick), the earth is trembling, and the bodies arise?
Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, 11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11
