The 3 Hour Blood Glucose Test

On Monday, January 24, I had to have a 3 hour blood glucose test because my blood sugar was too low the last time I had my blood drawn.  With each of my pregnancies, I have had to take this glucose test.  When I was in the middle of the test it dawned on me that I was paper pregnant.  I almost laughed out loud.  God has funny jokes sometimes.

Fiery arrows

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  Ephesians 6:16

Do you ever feel like Satan isn't shooting arrows, but using fiery cannon balls?

SERIOUSLY?

Adoption hoops.  I seem to be jumping in place and getting nowhere fast.  It feels like we've fallen through the cracks and gotten lost.  I am not at liberty to say exactly how I feel, so I'll just leave my adoption friends with one acronym:  USCIS.  Enough said.

I guess I need to go find my SHIELD of FAITH and find my happy pants.

Blessing about Fingerprinting Early

Before we received our fingerprinting appointment, I was going to be patient and not go early.  Then we received our appointment and it was more than 3 weeks out.  Then we were going to be 30 minutes away from the fingerprinting place on 12/30/10, so we decided to go early.

I am SO glad we went early.  Our appointment was scheduled for 1/10/11.  It started snowing early 1/10/11 and didn't stop until sometime last night.  We have about 6 (or more) inches of snow outside.

I don't know what we would have done if we waited for our appointment.  I am so glad that my dh decided to go early.   We saved a few pennies by not having to make a 2nd trip also.  I am so overjoyed about that.

The Lord is faithful.

Deuteronomy 7:9
9 Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.

Rock Chalk Jayhawk

We got our oldest son admission into Bill Self's Basketball camp for the morning of December 31.  What a wonderful blessing.  It was a lot of fun.

We decided to go ahead and get our fingerprints done for our I600A.  We were already going to be driving about 20 minutes from the fingerprinting place on December 30, so we swung in.  Our fingerprints were done within 20 minutes.

Now we wait some more.
